Privacy Policy

MeaningVs publishes reference articles on symbolism and English usage. This page explains what is collected when you read them, and what is not.

What we collect

We do not ask for your name, email address, or any other personal detail. There is no account, no newsletter, and no comment form. Nothing you would call an identity is requested by this site.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which articles are read and how visitors arrive. It sets cookies and reports to Google an anonymised record of your visit: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device type, and the site or search engine you came from. Google is the data processor for this information; its practices are described in the Google Privacy Policy.

You can opt out entirely by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, by enabling your browser's "Do Not Track" or tracking-protection setting, or by blocking cookies for this site. None of these will affect your ability to read anything here.

Cookies

The only cookies set by this site come from Google Analytics, as described above. We set no cookies of our own, and none are required for the site to work.

Hosting and logs

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests and may retain standard server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL) for security and abuse prevention.

External links

Articles link to reference sources such as Wikipedia and dictionaries. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy practices apply — not ours.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes
